Lee County Reconsiders Gun Ban
Lee County, Georgia, one of 8 counties in the state to ban firearms on county recreational property, is holding a hearing on December 12, 2006 relating to a county attorney opinion advising that the county should repeal its pre-empted county ordinance banning firearms. Chuck Turney, a member of GCO, has been pushing the county to repeal this ordinance for some time. Mark December 12 on your calendar if you are near Lee County.
