Decatur Does Not Enforce Parks Carry Ban

In response to a letter from GCO asking about Decatur’s ban on carrying firearms in parks, Decatur has informed GCO that it does not enforce the ordinance and has no plans to do so.  A copy of the letter can be viewed here.

    It reads like an admission of an illegal ordinance, but there is no offer to repeal it. Does this mean that the citizen of DeKalb County can likewise ignore State laws?
