SB308 Passed by Conference Committee substitute

SB308 was passed by the senate and house agreeing to conference committee substitute just a few minutes ago.  The bill will now be sent to the governor for his signature.  The governor will sign it into law, ignore the bill and allow it to become law or veto the bill.  Should he veto, the bill would still be subject to an over ride by a 2/3 majority vote in the General Assembly.  Details of the bill will be forthcoming when available.

I would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to GeorgiaCarry.Org and all of the members and supporters who turned out to support SB308. It’s a huge victory and another step towards getting rid of restrictions on our rights of self defense. Now, we just need to keep the pressure on the Governor to sign it into law.

Can anyone confirm the version that was finally passed is the one identified as 10 LC 29 4424S? Or even better, can someone post a PDF copy of it here?

    Herb,
Go to the “Current Bills” page, Click on “SB308″ and go to the bottom of the page where you will see “CCR..” That stands for Conference Committee Report. That is the bill as passed and sent to the governor.
