This issue came up not long after carry was allowed in other federal parks. The Corps lawyers reviewed it and determined that the Corps of Engineers falls under a different set of laws as Corps property is Department of Defense owned property. Now, here’s the kicker, they allow hunting with firearms at many locations. But then, so do many larger military bases, and we all know that conceal carry is forbidden on those. This is going to be an interesting case to watch. Personally, I am all for the lawful carry of firearms everywhere. Good luck.
