To the best of GCO’s collective knowledge, this now leaves only six counties in the entire state that have such a gun ban ordinance on the books.

The amendment would ban only discharge unless “otherwise authorized by law.” The vote for repeal is expected to take place at the next meeting.

This now makes two counties that have voluntarily repealed their gun bans and one county in litigation. Gwinnett County is still trying to make up it’s mind. Let’s end 2008 with no county level gun bans in the entire state of Georgia.
